To join, go to the TerraPlaces Summer page at the Powers of Place. Become a member of Powers of Place (it's free!) and then join our group.

Observe, interact with, and immerse yourself within an outdoor place of your choosing and take pictures, write in a journal, or create art pieces or video diaries to chronicle your experience. Then share your experience with others!

Regular, sustained, and intimate contact with and increased awareness of natural places creates shifts in consciousness. We expect this project to have some of the following effects on those who participate:

• Feeling calmer, less stressed, greater connection
• Creating closer ties with neighbors, family, friends
• A growing sense of protectiveness toward place
• Increase in community-level activity
• More interest in learning about local flora and fauna
• Interest in where resources, food come from
• Increase in resource conservation
• More regular and deeper spiritual practice
